940 Miles

The magic just goes on and on, spent the morning on the Blade and the evening on the Thruxton, miles apart, both deep in my heart for different reasons.  Poor me can't ride both at once.

557 Miles

A cold February day and I needed some cooper slip and grease for the Pan new brake pads.  So although cold I thought sod it the Thruxton is going for a run.  A cold Scottish day, rain, sleet and snow.  Should have been miserable, should have thought why am I getting this beautiful bike black.  But all I could do was smile for 35 miles.  Yes i got back frozen, yes the bike was black but the smile was still there.  A charming step back in time that suits the present so very very much Magic !!!!!.

441 miles

Well I delayed the service but it is now booked in for Thursday, it will get it's first service and the new TORS.

Took it 95 miles around the east coast to finish of the running in.  Gears are getting better and only first is still sometimes awkward.

It was a wet damp day and the bike left gleaming and came back like it had just been on a scrambling adventure.

What a fantastic day on a fantastic bike, roads awful but yet the bike was nothing but a pleasure ride.  Surefooted, solid, creamy smooth power. New pipes and it will be heaven.

This bike is very special and makes me feel like I have entered another state of mind and another state of time.

352 miles

Well it was cold and damp but no rain, Scottish roads and these conditions were outshone by the perfect bike.  The way the power is super smooth and nonthreatening.  I could see how this machine could be a great introduction to a bigger machine for newer riders.  Its a proper bike, old school but with a modern twist.

Bike was black by the time I returned, but she back to pristine.  Wonderful,

Well it is the 5th November and very cold and damp but no rain, I have the day off so I am going to take the Thruxton around a 40'ish mile round trip via Alloa and the out to.t Powmill milk bar for a coffee to warm up and then back over Knockhill and home, get some more running in miles under its belt.

If i am feeling brave I might repeat the process with my new Fireblade.

Pulling the Thruxton out of the garage even on this damp and cold day, i feel a warm glow of contentment seeing it looking so perfect the driveway.  Bliss.
